UKOOA Sustainability Strategy 2002 - First Report 3. Protecting the Environment 3.2 Increasing knowledge and understanding of impacts   Commitment No. 45 - Provision of timely data to the industry database We re-affirm our commitment to provide timely data to the industry database to facilitate monitoring and analysis.  The range of measures on which information is needed has been expanded during the process of this strategic review - for example our commitment to give information on all six GHGs.  We are also committed to providing forward projections to assist performance monitoring. Progress to date : achievements and difficulties encountered 100% of all required environmental data for 2001 had been submitted by the 32 UKCS operators by end Jan 2002.  This has allowed the preparation of the 5-year historical analysis (See Section 3 - Introduction).  However we have experienced difficulties over the quality assurance of the data submitted during the year, which has caused delays in publication.  The current process is now being reviewed with a view to ensuring good quality data is available for publication by end April every year.  The plan is for the data verification step to be built in as data is provided during the year.  The industry is now providing data on five of the six Kyoto GHGs, for which we have also estimated forward projections  (see Commitment No.44).    Next commitment [46.
