UKOOA Sustainability Strategy 2002 - First Report
2. Social Sustainability
2.2 Enhancing recruitment, skills and training
Commitment No. 26 - Careers support for the existing workforce & for job changers

Careers advice is available for current employees, since many people change jobs or return to the industry each year.  The NTO Group has part partnered with Oilcareers.com to provide an efficient and transparent alternative to traditional redeployment and recruitment methods, giving existing and potential employees better access to job, career and training opportunities.

Progress to date : achievements and difficulties encountered

This is being managed by the NTO Group (cogent, ECITB, EMTA and NET) in conjunction with Oilcareers.com.  The aim is to provide further job information, with as much as possible accessible on-line.  The next step will be to link this activity to a Scottish Executive initiative, called Careers Scotland, which is due to be launched during 2002.
