UK Health and Safety Performance – Supplementary Statistics and Commentary

In terms of non-fatal injury rate, the offshore sector compares favourably with agriculture, transport, construction and other extractive sectors, but less so with the education, finance and business sectors.

Oil & Gas UK has held several health-related industry workshops over 2006/07, involving offshore managers/supervisors, doctors and offshore medical reps. These included a Pandemic Flu workshop and the UKOOA (now Oil & Gas UK) Doctor’s Workshop, which was attended by doctors from around the world and across the UK who are registered under the Oil & Gas UK Registered Doctors Scheme.
